The Left Hand of God

Little Bobby was spending the weekend with his Nana. His Nana decided to take him to the park on Saturday morning.

It was a crisp autumn day and everything was beautiful.

His Nana remarked…”doesn’t it look like an artist painted this scenery? Did you know God painted this just for you?”

Bobby said, “Yes, God did it and he did it left handed.”

This confused his grandmother a bit, and she asked him “What makes you say God did this with his left hand?”

“Well,” said Bobby, “we learned at Sunday School last week that Jesus sits on God’s right hand!”

Cute eh! ?

But check out this scripture
Isaiah 41:13 “For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you“.

God is often quoted saying he’s going to help us…

Psalms 121 “Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord

Hebrews 13 “The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid

But let’s go back to Isaiah for a minute. It says, For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of YOUR right hand” Why does he take our right hand? And if he is taking our right then he must be using his LEFT as we walk together.

We know that Jesus isn’t sitting on it… so what is it?

If we read through his word, we find:
In his right hand are riches and honour
In his right hand is righteousness
To his right hand is the Son of God.
So why does he take hold of your right hand, therefore using HIS left hand?

Why?

Because he is leading you to riches and honour.
He is leading you to righteousness.
He is leading you up to the right hand of his throne where His son is.

So his right hand is quite full. Full of cool stuff. And its all for you!

Man we serve an awesome God!
